Ford Edge Engine Specs and Powertrain Features

Under the hood of the 2020 Edge, you'll find the standard Twin-Scroll 2.0L EcoBoost® engine, which produces an EPA-estimated 21 city/29 highway MPG. This is paired with the standard 8-speed automatic transmission, which produces a smooth and easy-to-handle ride.

The available dynamic twin-turbo 2.7L EcoBoost® engine produces 335 horsepower and 380 lb-ft of torque capability. With this engine, you'll get an EPA-estimated 19 city/26 highway MPG.

A front-wheel drive system comes standard, but if you need advanced traction control, there is an available all-wheel drive system. The all-wheel drive system monitors the terrain you're traveling over, and automatically adapts to changing road conditions.

Innovative Safety Features

All four 2020 Ford Edge trim levels come equipped with the standard Ford Co-Pilot360™ driver-assistant safety features. These innovative safety systems were designed to be a second set of eyes on the road ahead.

• BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) with Cross-Traffic Alert

This feature monitors your blind spots to help you easily merge lanes or back up your vehicle.

• Lane-Keeping System

This system helps you stay securely in the center of your lane by alerting you when it senses you drifting.

• Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking

This feature scans the road ahead, and alerts you when it senses a potential collision, and will even help apply braking pressure in the event of an emergency.

• Auto High-Beam Headlamps

The Auto High-Beam Headlamps improve visibility when you're driving at night by automatically toggling between high and low beams depending on traffic.

• Rear View Camera

Backing up and parallel parking is a breeze thanks to the Rear View Camera. It will provide live video of what's happening behind you.
