Both the F-150 and the Tundra come with a range of engine options to suit your needs. The options begin with a comparable V6 engine being offered in both the Ford and the Toyota. From there, you can choose from V6 or V8 engines in both vehicles, but the F-150 also offers an EcoBoost® twin-turbo 3.5L V6 engine for the Raptor that pumps out 450 horsepower. Unfortunately, a comparable engine isn't available in the Tundra.
When it comes to towing, nothing beats the F-150. The F-150 also has a floor that opens up in the cabin for additional storage. None of these cargo options are available for the Tundra.
F-150 vs Tundra: Technology
At the base level, these two trucks share some desirable features, but they differ quickly as you move through the trim levels. Along with the models configured for work, luxury, comfort, muscle, or off-road performance, the F-150 also offers the SYNC® 3 infotainment system with an 8-inch touchscreen. Not only is this one of the most intuitive and user-friendly systems on the market-it also includes Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ compatibility, a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot, and an array of other features to enhance your on-the-road entertainment and information.
