Back in 1966, Ford debuted the Bronco, which was essentially a combination of a powerful SUV and their highly capable F-150 pick-up truck. For about 30 years the Bronco was a staple on the streets of Cincinnati, OH, and Newport and Covington, KY, until it stopped production in 1996.

But, that's not the last we'll see of it. Back by popular demand, the Ford Bronco will be making its return in Spring 2020.

Here at Fuller Ford Cincinnati, we want our drivers to be as informed as possible about the vehicles they're interested in, which is why we've created this handy 2020 Ford Bronco Preview, so you can learn all about its updated powertrain, technology, safety, and design features. Now, let's dive right in!

2020 Bronco Performance Features and Engine Specs

While the exact engine information has yet to be released, there have been a few rumors going around about what we can expect.

The 2020 Bronco is slated to have a standard turbocharged 2.3L 4-Cylinder engine, which is sure to deliver an ample amount of horsepower and torque capability.*

If you're looking for an engine with advanced fuel efficiency, it's said there will be a hybrid powertrain, which will be equipped with a V6 engine.*

If you're craving off-roading adventure, and state-of-the-art towing capability, the Bronco is said to have an available all-wheel drive system, so it's ready to be your partner over any and all terrain.

A Durable and Customizable Exterior Build

Previous Bronco models were known for being highly capable, and having a sporty and durable exterior build, and we're sure the 2020 Bronco will live up to that esteemed reputation.

The exterior design is rumored to have removable doors and a removable roof, which means you'll be able to soak in the sun and feel the cool breeze during those warm summer drives.*

You can also expect a rear-mounted spare tire as well as a boxy styling, which is sure to rival competitors like the Jeep Wrangler.*

The official logo will of course be a bucking bronco, which adds a touch of old-school flair to this new modern design.

Multiple Trim Levels of the Ford Bronco

Ford is also rumored to introduce multiple trim levels and sizes of the new Bronco.

What's being referred to as the "Baby Bronco," is supposed to be based off the 2020 Ford Escape mechanicals and powertrain features, and will have a more rugged SUV-like shape, as opposed to the classic boxy build.*
